Privacy Statement

The operators of this website take the protection of your personal data very seriously.  We treat your personal data with the utmost confidentially.

The use of our website is normally possible without you providing any personal data such as name, mailing address, phone number, email address, etc. unless you voluntarily enter such data as part of a self-initiated transaction such as requesting more information, requesting a newsletter or registering a prayer site.

The following sections more fully describe our Privacy Statement.

Additionally, we would like to point out that data transmission over the Internet (e.g. communication by e-mail) can have security gaps out of our mutual control.  Complete protection of data against access by third parties is not possible.

What type of information do we collect?

We collect and store any information you enter on our website or provide us in any other way.  In addition, other data is automatically collected by our IT systems when you visit our website.  This is mainly technical data (i.e. internet browser, operating system, time of use, IP address, etc.).  This data is collected automatically as soon as you enter our website.

Why do we collect personal information?

We collect Personal and Non-personal Information for the following purposes: 1) to organize and co-ordinate meetings at dedicated times and places, 2) to send relevant updates and information, 3) to be able to contact our Visitors and Users with general or personalized service-related notices and promotional messages, 4) to create aggregated statistical data and other aggregated and/or inferred Non-personal Information, which we or our business partners may use to provide and improve our respective services, and 5) to comply with any applicable laws and regulations.

What about Server log files?

The provider of the website automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to them.  This information includes:

  • Brower type and browser version

  • Operating system used

  • Referer URL

  • IP address

  • Hostname of the accessing computer

  • Time of the server request

Such storage in the so-called server log files is required for technical reasons and to ensure system security.  This data is deleted after 24-hours.

Do we use Cookies?

This website uses cookies.  Cookies are small text files that can be used for many reasons.  The different types of cookies used by this site can be broken down into four basic categories:

  • Essential (Necessary) cookies enable core functionality such as security, verification of identity and network management. These cookies must be used to properly and securely operate the website.  These cookies are placed or “set” by the website provider and are therefore called “First Party” Cookies.  They cannot be disabled.  Many of these types of cookies expire at the end of your session or within 1 day.

  • Preference cookies enable the website to remember choices users made during previous visits to improve and give a more personalized experience.  If used, they are set by the website operator.  Given the nature of our site, preference cookies are seldom utilized.

  • Statistic cookies help provide an understanding how visitors interact with the website and provide better overall analytics to the website provider and others.  Analytics programs (Google, WIX, etc.) are included under this category.  This type of cookie can be either a First Party Cookie (set by the website provider) or a Third Party Cookie (set by others than the website provider).

  • Marketing cookies are used to track visitors across websites. The purpose is to collect information with the intention to display ads/information that are relevant and engaging for the individual user and thereby more valuable for publishers and third party advertisers.  These are generally “Third Party” Cookies, although they can be set by the website provider as well.

Swiss and EU laws state that we can unilaterally set cookies on your device if they are strictly necessary for the operation of this site (i.e. Essential (Necessary) cookies).  For all other types of cookies (Preference, Statistic and Marketing) we would like/need your permission before they are set.

Upon visiting the website for the first time, from a given IP address, a Cookie Banner is automatically displayed which asks the user to give their cookie consent preferences.  This information is then anonymously stored on our website provider’s server.  This procedure gives you, the user, complete control over the setting of discretionary cookies on your device.

Once provided, the user will not have to respond to another Cookie Banner for that device for one-year: a new consent is required every twelve-months.

If a user later decides, after they have made their original cookie consent declaration, that they would like to correct, change or withdraw their cookie consent, they should contact us at prayschwiiz@gmail.com or send us a mail at: Pray Schwiiz!, Hauptstrasse 29, CH-5512 Wohlenschwil and we will work with you to comply with your request.

Does your site use website analysis programs?

This website has the ability to use a web analysis program called WIX Analytics. This software tool is used to measure and collect session information, including page response times, length of visits to certain pages, page interaction information, and methods used to browse away from the page.

WIX Analytics uses so-called "cookies". These are text files which are stored on your computer and which enable an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transferred to a WIX server.  On this website IP-anonymization is activated and therefore your IP address will be shortened by WIX making your information completely anonymous and non-traceable.

The storage of WIX Analytics cookies and the use of this analysis tool are based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the analysis of user behavior in order to optimize both his website and his advertising.

However, if an user chooses not to accept Statistic cookies, this website analysis program is non-functional and will not collect any data of your visit(s).
